One Step at a Time

Having spent three decades working as professional sports announcer, I have been fortunate enough to work with some of sports' biggest names. Whilst a glamorous, well-paid life for some, it became increasingly apparent that many of our sporting heroes face life-changing problems when the final whistle blows on their career. As an Army veteran, I saw a similar scenario unfold, with many former colleagues struggling to adapt to life as a civilian. This tragically results in significantly higher rates of homelessness and unemployment - as well as serious psychological and physical conditions.

I could not sit back and let this happen. So, in conjunction with my great friends Micky Cantwell and Rob Finch, I decided it was time to do something about this terrible situation. How can we achieve this? Simple: we assist those who have fallen on hard times through no fault of their own and get them back into work.

Best of all, we offer free training courses with new opportunities being added all the time and we will also be hosting some amazing fund-raising nights with some of the biggest names in sport, so keep in touch and stay tuned. We are here to help you stay ahead of the game.

Good luck on your journey

John McDonald.
